Amanda is a graduate from the University of South Florida, holding her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. She holds her Yoga Certificate from Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, NC. As a freelance artist, Amanda has had the opportunity to perform, train and choreograph nationally and internationally. She has worked with numerous performing companies such as, Red Right Return, Lotus Flower Dance, Visionary Dance Theater, Malashock Dance and Rouge Dance. Amanda has been a guest artist at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts High School since January 2014. She also teaches at the Dr. Philips Center of Performing Arts in Orlando, FL. She is currently involved with several performing projects and performing her own choreography. Through movement, Mandy shares and creates emotion as they pour through her muscles and skin. She continues to grow and explore her own choreographic and educational voice in this thriving dance community. Amandamoves.org
Christopher Gonzalez La Corte, a graduate of Wake Forest University in NC, is the Artistic Director of The Explore Composite in Orlando, FL and an Adjunct Faculty and Guest Artist in Dance at Seminole State College. As a choreographer and theatre director, he has produced at numerous venues in and around Orlando, The American College Dance Festival (GA), Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theatre’s Voices of Now Program (Washington, DC), Wake Forest University (NC) and regional showcases throughout the East Coast. He has debuted works at the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, Creative City Project Orlando, WFU’s LGBTQ Alumni Conference and worked alongside various directors to assist in the choreography of live theatre performance. As a performer he has had the opportunity to perform work by various choreographers from around the world, and is currently a company member of COBY Project, an improvisational dance company in Orlando. He is currently on faculty at Inez Patricia School of Dance, Ultimate Dance Center and a most recently served as a PNC Grant Teaching Artist for the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, integrating the arts into VPK classrooms in Orange County, FL. Chris has adjudicated for Dr. Phillips Magnet High School for the Arts, South Eastern Theatre Conference, and NC State Thespians and served on panels about college theatre programs, arts integration and arts professional development for academic instruction.
Rokaya Mikhailenko has been a modern and improvisational dance performer in the Orlando area since 2006. She currently teaches modern and contemporary dance, including improvisation and contact/improvisation techniques, at The Center for Contemporary Dance and will have completed both a BS in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science by the end of 2017. She has in some form studied dance and music since early childhood and received formal education in dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. She began her movement project AHHA Dance and in 2016 produced Paint a Tank 1st ed; Free Your Head, and an invitational Dance Lab #1, both created as yearly events.
Vincent Sanrocco was born and raised in Marlton, New Jersey where he studied dance from age 6-18. Vincent began his Disney career in 2012 as a parade and show performer. Vincent performed in the Main Street Trolley Show, Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and had the privilege of performing Jungle Book: Alive with Magic at the White House. Currently, Vincent is a Maintenance Choreographer with Walt Disney Live Entertainment. In addition, Vincent is the proud owner of the newly established Vincent Sanrocco Dance Company. You can find Vincent teaching contemporary, lyrical and jazz in Orlando. @vincentsanrocco
Jessica Harris was born and raised in Ormond Beach, Florida. She attended Father Lopez Catholic High School where she competed in national competitions with the Dancing Green Waves. After high school, Jessica attended Santa Fe College and began to get plugged into the dance community in Gainesville. After a year, she transferred to the University of Florida to pursue her BFA in Dance. At UF, Jessica trained not only in modern and ballet, but also in West African dance under the direction of Mohamed Dacosta. Jessica currently dances for professional contemporary company, Emotions Dance Company.
Sara was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. She started studying dance at the age of four, beginning her training with ballet and tap. As the years progressed she continued her studies in local studios in different styles such as jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern/contemporary, and pointe. She competed for many years, and won many awards, including Highest Overall Score in the Teen Solo Category in 2009. She attended Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School in South Hadley, MA and graduated in 2011 with a concentration in Dance. She was a member of the school’s pre-professional dance company, Catalyst Dance. After high school, Sara moved to New York to attend Manhattanville College for the next four years. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Theatre, and a minor in Psychology. Sara currently dances for professional contemporary company, Emotions Dance Company.
In May 2016, Nicole Warren launched a new arts effort in Central Florida to embrace a community of limitless dancers; co-founding Chance 2 Dance Inc; an inclusive and accommodating non-profit dance company that specializes in dance classes for children, youth, and adults with varying disabilities and needs. Nicole’s passion in life is to share her experiences, knowledge, and love for the art of dance, in hopes to cultivate an awareness that dance is universal and has no boundaries. Nicole C. Warren has been dancing since the age of 5 and was trained in Gulf Breeze, FL. with a classical dance foundation of ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe under the instruction of Mrs. Margie Shortt. Nicole attended the University of Central Florida and as of 2011 earned a B.S. in Elementary Education as well a TESOL certification and Reading Endorsement. Upon graduating from U.C.F., Nicole was accepted into the Valencia College A.A. Dance-Dance Performance program and was selected to join their pre-professional dance company; Valencia Dance Theatre where she trained and performed for 3 years. Ms. Warren has studied in varying styles, from the classical modern techniques of Graham, Horton, and Limon to being a student of the legendary Al Gilbert and his tap technique. Most recently Nicole earned her Level III Certification as a classical Cecchetti Ballet Teacher and was accepted into Dance Masters of America upon passing the national ballet and jazz exams. Currently, Nicole holds the Secretary position on the BOD for Dance Masters of America, Florida Chapter 2.
Ashton graduated from Georgia College and State University in May 2015 with a BA in History and a double minor in Dance and Spanish. She began dancing at the age of 3 and has received training in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, acrobatics, and modern from teachers such as Robert and Jennifer Mason, Tom Ralabate, Albert Cataffi, and Marcus Alford. She competed with the North Georgia Academy of Dance Elite Dancers for 13 years, where she won many awards including Miss Dance of Mid-South Dance Masters Ch. #41. With the NGAD Elite Dancers, she has been able to give back to the community through dance with many performances at local festivals and showcases. Ashton currently dances for professional contemporary company, Emotions Dance Company.
